The lack of manual ticketing is considered to have impacted driver compliance.

Tangerang, indonesiapos.net.

The Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Department held a 2025 Year-End Release event at the Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Wednesday (December 31, 2025).

This event served as a comprehensive evaluation of the implementation of duties, public order and security, law enforcement, and police services throughout 2025 in Tangerang City.

The year-end release was led by the Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Dr. Raden Muhammad Jauhari, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si., and attended by the Mayor of Tangerang, Drs. H. Sachrudin, and the Deputy Mayor of Tangerang, H. Maryono Hasan, A.P., M.Si.

The Chairman of the Tangerang City Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), H. Rusdi Alam, S.Th.I., M.S.M., and the Head of the Tangerang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), H. Mahdiar, S.STP., M.Si., were also in attendance. Also in attendance were the Principal Officials (PJU) of the Tangerang City Metropolitan Police Department and all members of the media in Tangerang City.

In his presentation, the Chief of Police stated that there would be an increase in total crime throughout 2025, along with a rise in the number of public reports.

One driving factor is the rise in social media-based crimes, particularly digital fraud, which has led to an increased public response to police reports.

However, the Chief of Police emphasized that this increase in reports was offset by a significant increase in investigator performance in crime clearance.

Throughout 2025, Tangerang City Metro Police investigators successfully resolved thousands of cases, achieving a Clean Clearance of 3,846 cases, including both serious and conventional crimes.

Regarding conventional crimes, the Police noted a rise and fall in several types of crime.

However, drug cases remained a primary concern, particularly from July to December 2025.

Drug eradication efforts focused on the distribution of methamphetamine and other illicit drugs, including Schedule G drugs, which are considered to contribute significantly to other crimes, such as violence and disturbances of public order and security.

In the traffic sector, the Tangerang City Metro Police also presented traffic accident data, showing a comparison of increases and decreases across several indicators.

Limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as low public discipline in traffic, pose challenges.

The lack of manual ticketing is considered to have impacted driver compliance.

Going forward, the police will again optimize traffic law enforcement through the implementation of ETLE (Enforcement of Traffic Control) and selective manual enforcement.

This will primarily address visible violations such as not wearing helmets, riding with three people on the same motorbike, and going against the flow of traffic.

This year-end release demonstrates the Tangerang City Metro Police’s transparency to the public, as well as their commitment to continuously improving services, law enforcement, and synergy with the local government.

And all elements of society are committed to maintaining security and order in Tangerang City.
