The two brothers are currently detained at the Tangerang City District Court.

Tangerang, INDONESIAPOS.NET.

An inter-island drug syndicate is on trial. The five defendants, Munawir and Muslih, brothers, transported methamphetamine from Aceh to Jakarta, where they were arrested in Tangerang City, Banten, recently.

Police arrested the brother and sister, who were also involved in the shipment of the illicit goods.

Police will arrest Jamaludin, who had escaped from the target recipient in Kalimantan.

The methamphetamine narcotics network was arrested by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, with the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim Narkotika).

The two brothers are currently detained at the Tangerang City District Court.

Drugs are also a crime and must be eradicated.

“We will arrest several other people, including major dealers and bosses who have been supplying the defendants,” said the police.

Reportedly, the crystal methamphetamine was purchased from Ikbal. Jamaludin, a fugitive, introduced Muslih to Ikbal as the owner of a kilo of methamphetamine worth 290 million rupiah.

Muslih contacted Afrizal behind a sign that the goods were already in stock and demanded a down payment of 100 million rupiah.

Afrizal asked Edy Sanjayana for 100 million rupiah, but only gave him 50 million rupiah. After the goods arrived in Jakarta, Munawir and Muslih were arrested by drug police.

Munawir testified during the trial that he was initially told to bring shoes to Muslih’s house in Aceh. The incident occurred in July 2025.

The methamphetamine was hidden in Muslih’s shoes, and Muslih was contacted on the phone during the trip.

Muslih had the item in his shoes, and Munawir already knew it was methamphetamine.

The two of them departed from Aceh on a Citiling flight and arrived at Sutta Airport, where they were arrested. Muslih called, claiming he was a fugitive and demanding his belongings.

Muslih called Rizal to ask if he had the goods. Rizal then asked if he had the goods, so Muslih called Jamaludin.

The goods were delivered by someone on a motorcycle to Jamaludin. Jamaludin wanted to check on him, and he learned that it was 1 kilo of methamphetamine.

After the goods arrived, Muslih called Rizal and sent him the account number of the owner of the goods. He sent the first 50 million rupiah, the remaining 50 million rupiah, to be delivered that evening. When he was about to deliver the goods to Java, Muslih put the methamphetamine in his younger brother Munawie’s shoe.

Munawie and Muslih, the brothers, took a shuttle bus to the airport and boarded a plane at 8 p.m. to Medan Kualanamu. They then called Rizal and were sent a ticket to Jakarta.

“When he left the extra room, he was immediately arrested. During interrogation, he admitted that the methamphetamine was in his shoe,” he said.

Jamaludin stated that while he was still in Aceh: Muslih asked about the goods, but Jamaludin replied, “That’s your business,” as he didn’t want to get involved.

The methamphetamine courier, Ikbal, delivered the goods to Muslih. Jamaludin took them from Muslih’s motorcycle. After the goods were tested for authenticity, the person who tested them confirmed they were genuine.

Jamaludin ordered plane tickets for Unawir and Muslih, and they were ready.

Afrizal ordered goods from Muslih, but Muslih asked for a down payment of 100 million rupiah for 1 kilo of methamphetamine. Afrizal asked Edy for 100 million rupiah, who was in Kalimantan.

Muslih and Munawir called Afrizal from the hotel; he was already in police custody in Jakarta.

The 100 million rupiah had been transferred, while Edy’s 50 million rupiah was transferred to Muslih.

Edy, Afrizal, came to his house to borrow 100 million rupiah, but Edy only… Agreeing to pay 50 million rupiah, Edy pawned his wife’s gold to get 49 million rupiah.

Edy lent the money to Afrizal, knowing it was to pay for the methamphetamine.

“Munawir promised that if the methamphetamine was sold, he would receive 25 million rupiah. Usually, once the goods are sold, they’ll be given to him within three days,” Munawir said innocently.

After receiving the methamphetamine from Ikbal, Muslih hid it behind the house.

Afrizal used the money from Edy, not borrowed it, because he would give him the goods (methamphetamine). The methamphetamine would be given to Edy once it arrived in Kalimantan.
